Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RacerFly, operated by OV Copy, Inc. (“RacerFly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services. By using RacerFly, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Amazon Cognito. Passwords are managed by Cognito and are not visible to us.
Content you upload. Race videos, car photos, and related metadata you provide. We process this content to generate search embeddings, thumbnails, and detected actions.
Profile and social handles. Your display name and the social media handles you add to your profile. When a clip you create is published publicly, we use these handles to attribute and tag you (see “Public Clip Sharing” below).
Payment information. If you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles card data and provides us with limited details such as subscription status and customer identifiers.
Usage and analytics data. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location. See “Analytics and Consent” below.
Technical data. Basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) necessary to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide and operate the service; to process and index your uploaded content; to authenticate you and manage your account; to process subscriptions and payments; to communicate with you about the service; to understand usage and improve RacerFly; and to comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse.

3. Analytics and Consent

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-1PV1RPCR4B) to understand how visitors use RacerFly. Analytics cookies and data collection are governed by Google Consent Mode and are denied by default. No analytics storage or collection occurs until you accept analytics cookies via our consent banner. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing the consent stored in your browser. Google's use of data is described in Google's own privacy documentation.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate RacerFly, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, authentication, and AI processing), Stripe (payments), and Google (analytics, with consent). We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Public clip sharing. On the free tier, the clips you create are published publicly — on the RacerFly platform and in our marketing — and you are tagged using the social handles on your profile. You agree to this at the time you create each clip; if you prefer to keep clips private, you can upgrade to Pro. Once a clip is published it may be viewed, cached, indexed, or re-shared by third parties, and such copies may persist even after the clip is later removed from RacerFly.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Uploaded raw videos transition to cold storage after 30 days, and exported clips are automatically deleted after 7 days. You may request deletion of your account and associated content as described below.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

RacerFly is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

RacerFly is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
